IPTV Reseller Pre-Launch Checklist: 15 Things to Complete Before Your First Customer
Published: 2025-05-24
Starting an IPTV reseller operation without completing a few pre-launch steps creates avoidable problems. This checklist ensures everything is in place before you activate your first paid customer subscription.
Account and Panel Setup
- 1. Credit package purchased — Confirm payment and that the credit balance in the panel matches your order.
- 2. Panel credentials received and tested — Log in successfully. Verify all sections are accessible: account list, credit balance, account creation.
- 3. Panel credentials secured — Store your panel username and password in a password manager or secure note. Do not share them.
- 4. Provider contact saved — Save the provider's WhatsApp number for support escalation.
Service Quality Testing
- 5. Trial account activated and tested — Activate a trial at 0 credits, install an IPTV player on your own device and verify it works.
- 6. UK channels verified — Confirm BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky channels load and stream correctly.
- 7. Sport channels verified — Confirm Sky Sports and BT Sport channels are available and streaming.
- 8. VOD tested — Search for a film and confirm playback works in the VOD library.
- 9. EPG and catch-up tested — Confirm EPG loads for UK channels and catch-up works for at least one recently aired programme.
Business Preparation
- 10. Pricing decided — Know what you will charge for 1-month, 3-month, 6-month and 12-month subscriptions. Calculate that each price is above your per-credit cost.
- 11. Payment method decided — Know how you will collect payment from customers (bank transfer, PayPal, cash). Set this up before your first customer.
- 12. Customer record template ready — Create a spreadsheet with columns for: customer name, username, subscription end date, amount charged, contact number.
- 13. Support contact method established — Tell customers how to reach you with issues. A dedicated WhatsApp number for reseller business is recommended.
Operational Habits
- 14. Weekly renewal check scheduled — Set a recurring calendar reminder for the same day each week to review the panel's expiry list.
- 15. Credit top-up threshold decided — Know at what credit balance level you will purchase a top-up. Recommended minimum buffer: 20 credits above expected 30-day consumption.
Once all 15 items are complete, you are operationally ready to activate customers. For the first-customer activation walkthrough, see the panel setup guide. For the ongoing management workflow, see the reseller panel management guide.
